Preschooler

Noah's first day of preschool.

He was pretty excited. Since we got there a little early I had him wait a little bit before ringing the door bell. I think I dragged him away from the door about three times.
"Is it time yet??"

Since Kyle was off track he got to see Noah off.  He was pretty sentimental about his old Alma mater. He even asked if we could invite his old teacher over.

All my babies in front of Noah's preschool.

Noah has been in preschool for a little over a month now and seems to be enjoying it. He has learned
A LOT  (particularly ABC's and even putting his shoes on by himself) and always tells me that he is a good boy in school. I don't doubt it. He even goes so far to tell me that some of the other kids are "mean" (naughty) but that he is not. :)

Silly Kyle

Kyle's teacher posted on her blog some funny things that some of the kids say. Here are the two she wrote about Kyle:

At the end of class today, we played Simon Says while we waited for the parents to come. Kyle was the Simon. He said "Simon says sit down on the floor". So, we did. Then he sat there for a minute thinking. Finally he said "Simon s... no wait a minute, I'm going to do it without the Simon says".

About a month ago, the class was being a bit noisy. I had reminded them a couple different times that it was my turn to talk. Kyle raised his hand and said "Teacher, sometimes I can't go quiet."

Funny boy.

...Halloween activities galore these past few weeks. We went to our ward party, "Great-Grandmothers Halloween Party" (mine), and Gma and Gpa Shiflett's ward party AND Great-grandma Martin's birthday party. Whew! It's great because the boys got some really good use out of their costumes. Not so great because we have WAY too much candy and we still haven't gone trick or treating. So hopefully Halloween night won't be too anti-climactic. We aren't even done with the parties yet!

...I had my 22 week ultrasound and am happy to announce that nothing extra has sprouted between the baby's legs. We're still buying pink. Not that I ever doubted. :)

...Kyle had another field trip for preschool. We went to Engh's Gardens. Kyle LOVED the haystack maze while Noah, of course, LOVED the tractor. I hope to get a chance to take Kyle to an actual corn maze. He'd be in heaven.

...Kyle had his very first Primary program this past Sunday. Both sets of Grandparents came as well. It was so fun to watch him sing the songs he'd learned if sporadically, get stage fright when he couldn't recite his well memorized line, and cover his face with his tie half the time. He is such a bright, beautiful boy.

...I went with friends and saw "Thriller" by Odyssey Dance. I've always thought it looked cool and it was. Maybe a little morbid at times but cool.

...Saw my beautiful niece, Anna, in West Jordan Youth Theater's production "Crown of Lomeria". She was one of the glittering mermaids, "Aqua". It was so fun to see her on stage and I can't wait to do so again.

Preschool for Kyle

Kyle has been wanting to go to school for some time. Now he finally has a school to call his own. Luckily he is happy to go to school and meet new friends. He even asks me, "Mommy, do I get to learn today?" Let's hope this attitude extends all the way to graduation!

Its really nice that his preschool is only a 5 minute walk from my house. Sweet.
