This Is Halloween, This Is Halloween...

What a beautiful and fun day we had for our Halloween celebration.

Our Halloween didn't start off with Halloween day.  We had a full week of parties and trunk-or-treating prior to October 1st.  Let me just say, the kids will NOT be trunk or treating next year. The candy getting has gotten ridiculous.  We filled a huge bowl with candy the kids got and handed it out Halloween night. Too, too much of the stuff.

Our Halloween started out with Noah and Kyle's parade at school.

Spooky, dinner with mummy dogs and creepy, crawly potion drinks.

 Princess, Strawberry, Indiana Jones, Vampire

Me and my juicy sweet strawberry baby.
Note the gorgeous weather. I think the the temp topped out at 76 degrees. A record breaker!  It made for some mighty pleasant trick-or-treating.

Allie, Mikayla and Megs

No coats for these trick-or-treaters!
The kids had fun going house to house with their friends. Kyle even took off with his friends and I thought, are we really THERE.  My boy doesn't need me anymore. boo-hoo. Unfortunately, with all the running he ended up biffing it and ripping a big hole in his new pants and his skin.

These two were so cute trick or treating together.

After an hour or so of trick-or-treating, we headed over to a friends house to feast on chili and hot chocolate.
Great night!

This is Halloween...

...This is Halloween!

Getting ready to go trick-or-treating.

Kyle and Noah really got into the candy getting this year. Kyle was literally running from house to house. We had a hard time keeping up with him.
Megan had a great time carrying her bucket all by herself and collecting her loot. It was really cute.
The kids also got to go Grandma and Grandpa's ward party and do trunk or treating along with trick or treating at Daddy's work. Waaaay to much candy but I'm making good use of it. ;)

 Megan and the Super Market-er.

Dang, I'd be afraid if I were that donut...

 Ward Halloween party.
I LOVE the picture of Spider-man who is putting some distance between
 the mini Frankenstein and himself.

Kyle looks nice and mummified with his red eyes but then again, so does everybody else.
Creeeeeeeepy!

Noah had such a great time with Halloween this year. He wanted to decorate everything and make it "scary". He was so excited to wear his costume. Both him and Kyle loathed being called "cute" in their costumes. Especially Kyle. He was all about being in character as you can see in the cousin picture.

This is the pumpkin that Kyle and I carved. Cool, eh?
I feel bad because I didn't get one of Noah and Daddy's.

"Trick or treat. Smell my feet...

... and we'll just skip the underwear part since I've heard it entirely too much this season. I unwittingly taught this to the boys... I am a good mom. Promise.
We had a super busy Halloween this year. The boys got LOADS of candy {most of which I ate}, and went to some fun parties.

Check out my babies...

Megan's first Halloween as a kitty cat. This is appropriate since the girl constantly uses me a scratching post and makes a funny hissing sound when she's happy.
We were thinking about dressing her up as a "Senorita" since she is so good at rolling her "R's"
{when she cries} :)

Noah as an astronaut {costume #1}

Iron Man
{3rd year in a row as a super hero. Ugh.}

Buzz Lightyear {costume #2}
He already had this costume and kept going back and forth between it and the astronaut. Still not sure why I bought him the astronaut costume except that maybe I couldn't resist.

I love my kids.

Isn't this just what it's all about?

October

Pumpkin Carving

I did the witch/moon. (Although I didn't figure out that it was a moon as well until much later.) Adam did the Batman logo just for Kyle.

Kyle was pretty proud of his Batman pumpkin.

I promise. He really was happy about it...

Kyle's Preschool Field Trip to Engh's

Kyle LOVED the mini-maze. (I'm sad that I didn't take him to a big one. He even likes mazes on paper.)
Noah LOVED the tractor.

Ward Party

Halloween Day
Enjoying some 75 degree weather at Taylor's dance performance.
We spent a week in Las Vegas with my sister and her family. Adam had work down there and Cydnee was delivering her 4th child so it worked out very conveniently and nice. We made it a point to get down there by Halloween so the kids could go trick-or-treating together.

Not your typical Utah Halloween activity but since it was so warm in Vegas we decided to go on nice little hike at Red Rock. It was nice to be out and the kids loved it.

Cyd and I comparing bellies. I think I was about 24 weeks here.

This is such a cute picture. The kids were all psyched to get out and get CANDY. You can see Adam in the mirror helping them get excited.
I loved Trick-or-Treating in Vegas. It was such a nice, relaxed, WARM experience. People tend to hang out in the their decorated front yards to greet the Trick-or-treaters. Maybe we'll make the trip down there more often at the end of October.

This was my favorite part of the trip. I got to be the first in my family to see the sweet Lyndsee Dawn.
What an angel girl.
