Princess movies...Yay!

My little men are in for a rude awakening. Along with little sisters come princess movies. "Tangled" being the movie in question. They refused to have anything to do with it until Kyle {who wanted to stay with a sitter} talked to his cousin, Will, who had seen it and gave Kyle his okay. Noah wanted to go to Dawn Dawn's house and watch "Star Wars" instead. Turns out....

...they both loved it. {Noah can't stop talking about the part where she gets "tangled up" in her own hair.} Hmmmm, I wonder if "Sleeping Beauty" would go over as well...

Happy Thanksgiving!

SO much to be grateful for this year...

I am grateful for my family. I'm especially thankful that my laundry has had an influx of pinks, lavenders and yellows. Megan is a beautiful, sweet, healthy baby girl. I'm thankful for her big brothers and they way have just welcomed her and LOVED her. And of course, my man. He works hard for us. I'm thankful that despite the nasty economical problems we have felt secure and at peace. I am thankful to have one less diaper to change (Way to go, Bones!).

I (Adam) am thankful for the additional opportunity to get in touch with my feminine side. Megan is a beautiful baby girl that has already enriched our lives so much. This year I have gained a strong affinity to local, amateur art. Both Kyle and Noah have started to draw and bring us random pieces of masterpieces. Kyle just made one and drew a postage stamp. My wife is a marvelous wife, mother, domestic engineer, logistics supervisor, communications director, head chief, educator, counselor and eternal companion (plus she's easy on the eyes). I don't know that I can truly express everything I am grateful for. My Heavenly Father has given me so much.

Kyle is thankful for the church, toys, clothes, learning in school, the city (don't ask me to expound. I can't)

Noah is thankful for Kyle, the letter "L" (the one happened to spot on the key board, I'm sure), Scooby Doo movies, his "blanklet" and Buzz Lightyear

Megan is thankful Mommy, Mommy, Mommy...oh and Mommy, Daddy, FOOD, milk and brothers that make her laugh.

{Oh and Happy Birthday to me!}

Uppidy date

New Hoover Dam bridge. This picture doesn't do it justice. It is scary big.

Crazy cousins. They had a blast together.

...We spent a fun 4 days in Vegas a few weeks ago with the Schroeder's. Adam always has a trade show around this time of year which, for me, means a visit to see my sister's family. Yay! Shopping, eating out, playing at some really fun parks, singing with Cyd in sacrament {When we got done singing Noah said in a loud voice "Mommy that was beauiful. That was beauiful, Mommy!" The people sitting around us loved it more than our song, I think.}, letting the kids get caught up, movie watching, seeing the volcano at the Mirage {Kyle LOVED this, Noah not so much} and just plain chillackin' were all on the docket.

Just like her brothers, Megan's eyes get red when she eats something she particularly enjoys.

...Megan is growing like a weed and is almost 9 months old. She sleeps through the night pretty well, is still her Mommy's biggest fan and yes, still dislikes strangers holding her or really anyone that is not Adam or I. She'll give you sweetest smile but no touchy!
She has run fevers twice this month but with nothing else happening. I hope this doesn't become habitual.
She is really getting smart. She likes to wave, push buttons, smile, suck her thumb and eat...anything. Although, fruit makes her gag. ???

...Kyle is enjoying school and doing really well. He went off track for the first time last month. His teacher gave him a big packet to take home and do during the off time. He had it finished in an hour. Yay for a kid that likes school and doesn't take after his Kindergarten sluffing Mama. It's been really fun to watch him learn to read and write. He's also been improving his art skills. Lately he can sit and draw or color for a couple of hours. He NEVER did this before. Now he finds great satisfaction in creating art with paper and crayon. He's into mazes and dot to dot as well.

...Noah is making us laugh all the time. He has a laugh that can only be described as a "yuk, yuk" kind of laugh. He loves to make others laugh and tries hard at it with his non-sensical knock, knock jokes. He misses Kyle everyday he goes and school and is anxious to go pick him up. {What is going to happen next year when Kyle is in school ALL day?} He loves his pajamas. He always wants to eat. And is just a sweet boy.

I love Fall. I love the mild temps. I love the changing leaves. I might even say that Fall is my favorite season IF it wasn't for the darn impending doom of winter and its bitter temps, nasty inversions, and endless months!
Yesterday was one of those days that left me longing for more of what we barely get a taste of here in Utah. When I found out that Saturday was going to be one of the last deliciously warm days of the season I determined that we would get out and soak it up.
Off to the zoo we went.
Adam and I couldn't stop commenting on what a perfect day it was.
Even the zoo looked beautiful with all its trees ablaze with color.

Megan holding on for dear life on the carousel.

I couldn't resist a picture of this little guy sitting on his keester.

Noah breaking out of his shell.

Am I not turtley enough for your turtle club? {One day we'll see that movie, huh babe.}

Beautiful.

Me and da Bones

My monkeys

My mini monkey

And to make a perfect day even more...perfecter, Adam found his long lost brother!

See? The resemblance is striking.

Do you want to know what the temp is going to be tomorrow?
48 degrees with rain and snow. And so it begins...

"Trick or treat. Smell my feet...

... and we'll just skip the underwear part since I've heard it entirely too much this season. I unwittingly taught this to the boys... I am a good mom. Promise.
We had a super busy Halloween this year. The boys got LOADS of candy {most of which I ate}, and went to some fun parties.

Check out my babies...

Megan's first Halloween as a kitty cat. This is appropriate since the girl constantly uses me a scratching post and makes a funny hissing sound when she's happy.
We were thinking about dressing her up as a "Senorita" since she is so good at rolling her "R's"
{when she cries} :)

Noah as an astronaut {costume #1}

Iron Man
{3rd year in a row as a super hero. Ugh.}

Buzz Lightyear {costume #2}
He already had this costume and kept going back and forth between it and the astronaut. Still not sure why I bought him the astronaut costume except that maybe I couldn't resist.

I love my kids.

Isn't this just what it's all about?
