Baby Girl's {FIRST} Birthday!

It's been a year since I first saw that sweet dimpled chin and big, wailing mouth and I am amazed. My little, tiny girl is not so tiny.

Megan got to go an her very first airplane ride for her first birthday. Lucky girl. We took a trip to Cali/Disneyland; also a first. :) Of course we couldn't let the day get away without a cupcake so we went to Kneaders where Megan enjoyed one of red velvet. She loves sweets and got all excited when she saw it.

Because we were busy getting ready for D-land on Megsie's bday, we decided to have her birthday party after we got back.

 Megan performed very well for her birthday party. I was a little nervous because she started the day so cranky but as Megan has proven before, she likes herself some attention.

Megan's super cute invitation
(designed by my SIL, Nichole)

She loved every one of her gifts and showed it. Every time I pulled out an outfit she would grab it and pull it to her in a big bear hug. This was hilarious to all since most kids will pull out a shirt and toss it aside looking for something more interesting. She wanted every toy she got opened right then and there but only AFTER she had a chance to give it a love.
Megan loved her own cupcake but teased everyone as she kept pretending to take a bite. She eventually got herself messy and enjoyed every morsel.

Giving a new outfit a "love".
Megan got a lot of fun things for her birthday:
numerous outfits, a couple of dolls including a Strawberry Shortcake {I played with Strawberry Shortcake dolls (or in my case Lemon Meringue) when I was a little girl so it just seemed crazy that my daughter has one too!}, a little laptop

This is not a picture of Megan right before taking a bit; this is Megan pretending
to take a bite so as to leave everyone in great suspense.
Funny girl.

We've had so much fun having a girl in our family. Lots of cute clothes and attitude. Megan screams with the best...or worst of them.
{Noah and Kyle used to scream all the time but it was for the fun of it. Megan? Well, when she screams, its not out of joy or happiness... and as the boys have experienced a few times, that scream could be accompanied with a nip on the arm, ear or nose.}
On the other hand, Megan is such a sweet girl. She is a world class snuggler, especially with Mommy.

We love our "stinker" SO much!

{Happy Birthday, Meggie Kate!}
