Megan has figured out that...

...her feet are made for WALKING!

I kinda got my hopes up that Megan would walk sooner than her lazy brothers. She is a little more advanced physically. She ROLLED for pete's sake!
Megan loved getting around with her stroller walker or hanging on to a willing hand so we knew she COULD do it but it was more that she WOULDN'T.
Megan loves attention and it was this love that got her feet moving FINALLY. We decided to encourage her to walk not thinking she would but with all her aunts uncles, cousins, grandparents cheering her on she just did it. Prior to this we had only gotten her to stand a little and take very few steps. It was hilarious when she just, out of the blue, walked!
Loving everyone's Oooo's and Ahhhh's she just kept right on moving and hasn't stopped one week shy of her 16 month birthday (just barely beating Kyle out for laziest prize)

Getting a congratulatory hug from Daddy.

I love the expressions on Nichole and Christian's faces because they reflect everybody's reactions to Megan's sudden decision to walk. Complete surprise!

She just kept walking back and forth laughing and giggling.

 Goooooo, Megan!!

Everyone got a lick out of how she could squat down and stand back up. Not normal greenie walking skills.

Cute cousins.

{Thanks for the pics, Cyd.What an unfortunate time to be without my camera!}

Kodachrome by Kyle

The hike was really high up and we had to go really far down.

We went in a big, dark tunnel.

We saw a pirate cave but no treasure.

I was laying on a log because my legs and feet hurt. And I was tired. This was my favorite part.

I was the first one to get up the mountain.

Megan liked hiking. But she was crying some times on the way to Kodachrome.

We were standing on a huge rock and it had a pirate cave on it.
We saw frozen dinos but I couldn't really see them but then daddy told me it was a rock that looked like long necks; then I saw them.

Tommy liked this hike. Megan liked the little
rocks. She would pick them up throw them.

Tommy in the weeds because we didn't want him to eat our food. (at a rest stop)

Lets see, we went hiking and saw the last bowling pin. Remember when we saw the bowling pin by our campground. Daddy told us in a story about giants playing bowling and they didn't knock over the last bowling pin. There were two giants; one got all bowling pins and the other got all of them except one.
We also saw the giants bowling ball.

Grandma and Grandpa were at the same campground. We went inside the tent that they slept in and played Uno. We played with the giant frisbee's that Grandma brought. We went on a hike to see Thorn's (Thor's) Hammer but I didn't see it because we had to go a different way because the trail was blocked.
We earned Junior Ranger badges. First we had to do an activity and guess the animals in a picture and I had to get some garbage and put it in a bag. Then we got our badges and it was really fun and we got some other stuff. We got a pin, some maps. Thats all I got from Kodachrome. And I got my hat.

...ANOTHER new baby in our family. This time it is a nephew named Grant. What a sweet little baby. I have SO enjoyed these little ones especially since I don't have one of my own right now.

...Megs is an official walker at 15 months and 3 weeks old. FINALLY.  (see post)

Practice makes perfect!

...Kyle's birthday (see post)

...Adam ran his first Ragnar race and really enjoyed it...so much so that he's already registered for next year...in a year... What can I say? He's hooked.  (Adam has been a dedicated runner and it shows. Hot.)

....Youth conference with some great kids! It was great to finally be able to go since Adam was released as YM president I am able to do more with my calling.  However, Adam was asked to speak at youth conference so he came up to Lava Hot Springs the second day and spent the night. It was so fun having him there.

{fifteen} months

height: 31.9 in. 85%
weight: 24.6 lbs 75%
head: 18.2 in. 99%

Megan loves feeding herself and uses a spoon and fork quite well (despite what this picture shows....). She is still crawling but we know that she could walk if she really wanted to. She LOVES her stroller walker that she got for her birthday and puts her baby inside. She likes to sign doggy and bath but knows other signs.  It think she will talk soon. As it is she does a lot of baby talk.
She is still an extreme Mama's girl but LOVES the attention of other people; likes to make eye contact with people and smile.
Love this girl.

Our Fantastic {FOUR} year old

Noah loves hats (dress up in particular), "choc-o-late" (I wish I could post the way he says it because its so cute), his big brother, Kyle, his "blanklet", wearing socks, space guys, and snacks.
WE love Noah's yuk-yuk laugh, his big smile, the way he loves his sister with hugs and letting her pretty much beat up on him, and his big noggin.

Noah had his first friend party this year and chose a space man theme (Pirate's would have been his other choice.)
We took the kids to Jump n' Bounce and as you can tell by all the red faces and sweaty hair, they had a great time.
- Mommy

 Carter, Ava, Kyle, Coleman
Dillon, Noah, Ryan

My sweet big boy is four. Noah is still "just Noah". He loves taking "rests" in his "cave". Noah has an infectious personality and lights up the room when he flashes his gappy tooth grin (as soon above). He is always looking out for everyone. When he gets a fruit snack he always makes sure to get one for his brother.

Noah is our eater. He is always wondering around professing his hunger pains. He likes to eat cheese, fruit snacks and whatever else you'll feed him. Luckily he is not a picky eater. He goes through episodes of refusing to eat green things, but for the most part he is pretty willing to try anything you put in front of him.

Noah is excited to go to Pre-school the coming fall. He sees his brother going to school and wants to do the same. Often he tells us that he needs to learn his letters, but when it comes down to practice he is not the most focused kid.

We love you Noah. - Daddy

Happy Birthday!
We love you, Bones.

...Despite the yucky weather, Mother's Day was lovely this year. I got my favorite breakfast in bed {bacon, egg and cheese sandwich}, new porch furniture from the hubby {still waiting for some nice weather to enjoy it}, Noah and Kyle sang to me in sacrament meeting {my favorite}, and felt how truly blessed I am. {Oh and Adam did the pots and pans. WOW!!}

...I ran in the "Race For the Cure" 5K race on Saturday with some good friends. My friend's mom has been battling breast cancer for years so it felt good to do something to support her and this cause.

...Still no walking for the Meggie but she LOVES to walk around while holding on to your hands.  Hopefully she'll get a clue and realize how much better it would be on her own.  She's also been doing some standing on her own.  I hope she's not trying to beat Kyle as my oldest walker. :/

...Record wet Spring in Utah. Ugh. Me no happy.

...I have a new niece!! Its been since Megan was born that we had a baby in the family. I'm not sure it has really registered to me that my baby brother is now a father. Crazy! Adelaide Jane is beautiful and looks just like her mommy.

...Adam took the boys to the Father and Son's outing. It was the first camping trip of the year so the boys were of course super excited AND it was beautiful weather this year. Lucky!

Wanna see something freaky?

Told you. Freaky.

Kyle's losing it...

...his tooth that is.

Tooth #1

And a week later, tooth #2

Lucky boy.

As soon as Kyle discovered that his two bottom central teeth were loose he worked and worked on them. I thought it would take a couple of months for them to fall out. Not so. After Kyle got one of them very loose Noah accidentally knocked it the rest of the way out.  The second one came a week later after Adam twisted it out since it was just hanging by a thread.
The Tooth Fairy and Easter came on the same night but it was Tooth Fairy that Kyle was most excited about. He was really cute about it and even drew a picture for the Tooth Fairy so she would know where to find his tooth and deposit his money.
My baby's growin' up!!

Easter in a Nut...er...Eggshell...

{hack, hack},
Coggle Easter egg hunt at WJ park,
{sniffle, sniffle},
 coloring Dino eggs,
{fever},
 Easter morning,
taking turns going to church (not for the kiddies though),
{aaaaaachoooo!},
Grandma and Grandpa's house,
 {cough, cough},
Easter dinner at Nana and Papa's (Kyle slept over with his cousins).

Thus ended our Easter day with no Easter outfits and barely a picture but plenty of sick kids.
{The picture above was taken a week after Easter}

...The boys went to a friends birthday party (James H.) this past weekend. It was pirate inspired and the boys were in heaven.  They love anything pirate.  We were going to do a pirate bday party for Noah in a month but now that seems anticlimactic so its back to the drawing board...

...Adam and I went and saw a play ("A Monster in My Closet") with Anna, Rachel and Olivia.  It was a cute and fun to watch especially since Olivia had a lead roll.  She was totally typed cast as a tom boy.

...I got to go volunteer in Kyle's class for their Spring party. Its always fun to see Kyle do his thing and see what he's up to when I'm not around. (I discovered that Kyle was sitting by himself for talking too much. It made me feel bad but it didn't seem to bother him!)

...After a record wet spring and too much snow, we are finally getting some beautiful sunshine. I am just praying it sticks around for a while!

...Megan turned 14 months on the 26th of April and is still crawling. It looks like she will following in her lazy brothers footsteps. ;) (Kyle didn't walk until 16 months. Noah was 15 months.)

...Lots of interesting things in the news this past weekend.  First and my favorite: Prince William and Kate Middleton were married.  Obviously since I have connections to England through my mission, I was very interested to watch. But there is also the romantic side of me that just loved seeing this commoner girl become a princess and the Duchess of Cambridge and one day the Queen of England! While I couldn't pull myself out of bed at 4AM to watch it all I was glued to the highlights all day long.  I'm a sucker for weddings and this one was no exception.

...After almost 10 years since 9-11, Osama Bin Laden was killed by a US missile. Wow. There is a lot celebrating going on around the US.  I am relieved that he is gone and dead. I think I'll leave it at that.
